Regardless of what type of education you have chosen, whether it be mavo, havo or vwo, they all finish with a final exam. This exam consists of two parts: the school exam and the final national exam. The school exam consists of school tests which schools, like Kandinsky College, compile themselves (in accordance to the official exam framework). All parts of the school exam are graded and marks awarded. The average marks received for each subject will constitute fifty percent of the final mark of your diploma. The other fifty percent will be awarded from the marks you receive in the final national exams, (Centraal Schriftelijk Eindexamen) for each subject. The exams take place in May. After you have sat the CSE, both the school exams and the average marks per subject of the CSE will be rounded up and constitute your final mark and this will be shown on your diploma. The requirements to pass the final exams at Kandinsky College can be found in the slaag-zakregeling.
